SPECIAL NOTE
Maison Corbett is set in a position of quite outstanding natural beauty and great tranquility. 'Wheels' are required both to enable the most to be made of the surrounding region, which offers so much, and also because the nearest large shops, such as Carrefour, are situated on the RN202 midway between Nice and the Pont Charles Albert. There is a small shop selling excellent local charcuterie, cheese, wine and olives in the 'new' part of the village with larger shops providing vegetables and other necessities in Gillette and Roquestéron; both 10km from Pierrefeu. The house is a 180m walk from the village square down a very attractive cobbled 'Chemin'. It is the separation from motor vehicles which gives the place the wonderful peace that can nowadays be hard to find - something which is cherished and remarked upon by visitors, many of whom return time and again. 'This is what paradise must be' and 'we fell into a story book place, full of magic' typifies their remarks in the visitors book.
The owners would be prepared to consider house exchanges with either Maison Corbett or their XVI Century cottage in the village of Oborne, two miles from Sherborne in West Dorset, England.
